Specialty in Cardiology
In 1997, I completed my medical qualification with honours from the University of Pavia Medical School in Italy. In 2003, I finished my cardiology training (summa cum Laude) in Milan. Later, I went on to work as a Consultant Cardiologist in Milan until 2006 and then moved to New York to complete my Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cardiology at the New York Medical College. During that time, I published my research in cardiac stem cells, presenting the results at the American Heart Association Meeting in Orlando in 2008.
I am an associate member of the Royal College of Physicians and have been appointed as Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Cardiology and Undergraduate Tutor by Imperial College School of Medicine.
